Find out when tracking numbers are generated and why updates might be delayed.
When will the tracking number be generated?
HyperSKU begins processing your order once payment is received, typically taking 1-3 days (including purchasing from suppliers and pick-and-pack at our warehouse). A tracking code is generated when the parcel ships from our warehouse.
If your store is connected to HyperSKU, the tracking code will automatically update in your store.
How to check tracking codes for my orders and update them to my store?
After the order is shipped, a tracking code and URL will be available on the Orders page next to the order.
If your store is connected to your HyperSKU account, the tracking codes will be updated automatically, and the order will be marked as "fulfilled."
Set up email notifications in your store to inform customers about updates:
- Shopify: Shopify admin > Settings > Notifications > Shipping > Shipping Update
I’ve paid for my orders. Why is there no tracking number?
Order processing usually takes 1-3 days after HyperSKU receives payment. Here’s the typical process:
- HyperSKU places the order with manufacturers.
- Manufacturers ship products to HyperSKU’s warehouse.
- HyperSKU picks, packs, and completes any additional services like customized packaging and inserts.
- Shipping couriers collect the parcels from HyperSKU.
If you don’t see tracking number after paying for an order, there are a few possibilities:
-
Order was placed when our processing team is off duty: the team will purchase, pick and pack as soon as they get back to work the next day.
-
Delay due to weekends or public holidays: our warehouse is off on Sunday and public holidays.
-
Additional information required: Our team will hold the order and contact you.
Types of Tracking Codes Provided by HyperSKU
1. Full Shipping Tracking Code
- Generated by international shipping couriers like YunExpress, 4PX, and CNE.
- Shows the full shipping trace starting from the origin country.
- Trackable via third-party tools like 17track or HyperSKU Tracking.
2. Last Mile Delivery Tracking Code
The last mile delivery tracking code is generated by local couriers such as USPS, Fastway, and La Poste.
- It shows the shipping trace starting from customs clearance in the destination country.
- You can track it via third-party tracking tools (e.g., 17track) and the local courier’s website.
- The last mile delivery tracking code does not update until the parcel arrives at the destination country. It does not show where the parcel originally came from, providing customers with a localized tracking experience.
However, customers may need to wait several days for updates on last mile delivery tracking. For example, consider a parcel shipped to the UK with tracking codes YT2010721266105007 and MB500926671GB, both referring to the same parcel. Below is the tracking history:
The two tracking codes are generated simultaneously when HyperSKU ships the parcel, and we sync full shipping tracking codes by default. If you prefer the last mile delivery tracking code, please let us know.
Why Isn't the Tracking Number Updating?
Here are some possible reasons:
1. the tracking code you check is the last mile tracking.
If you are checking the last mile tracking code, updates will not appear until the parcel arrives at the destination country. Please wait until it clears customs, or consider providing the customer with the full tracking code.
2. Parcel on Hold for Information
The HyperSKU team may hold the parcel if additional information is needed and will contact you.
3. Unexpected Delay
Delays can occur due to local strikes, extreme weather, or other unforeseen factors.
